Hello, I am Amy and I love to eat. I think about what I am going to cook for dinner when I get up in the morning. A lifelong gardener, writer and cook, I grew up in the American South where food is all about fat, salt and sugar. Raised in a family of foodies I strive for semi healthy food. Lighter in fat, salt and sugar, but heavy on flavor. Fresh vegetables, herbs and spices flavor my food.

The spotted hound in my kitchen is Charles, a rescue racing Greyhound. He helps by holding the floor down while I am cooking.
